Public Parks/Camping Information


Below is information on all the various public parks in Northwest Minnesota.  Some of the listings include camping.  All of the listings are open to the public to picnic and use the recreation facilities free of charge.  Entries are listed alphabetically by city.

Ada

  2 sand volleyball courts, picnic shelter, playground, historical marker of 1997

East Side Park

  3 blocks East of Downtown

  Flower beds, walking path, tables and benches.

Alvarado

  Shelter, tables, flush toilets, and playground equipment.  Camping, fire pits,

  electrical plug-ins, and sanitary sewer hook-ups. Skateboard park on 3rd Ave.

  and outdoor ice rink with warming house.

  Hiking along Snake River, dirt biking, and cross-country skiing.



Argyle

  John Kurz Memorial Park

  * May - October

  $6.00/day

  Two picnic shelters, grills, playground, horseshoes, volleyball, fishing, pioneer

  house, and covered bridge/walkway.  Water, electrical, and outdoor restrooms. 

  Groceries, Farmer Dell Restaurant, and Tater's Cafe close by.



Badger

  two blocks.  The campground is within easy walking distance of downtown.

  Along the Red River in Grand Forks and East Grand Forks

  Consists of 2,200 acres lining the Red River and Red Lake River as they flow

  through Greater Grand Forks.  This picturesque urban space offers countless

  recreational, cultural, historical and natural resource opportunities.  You can

  hike, walk, inline skate, bike, cross-country ski, bird, canoe, fish, golf and much

  more in the heart of our two cities.

  An asphalt trail system is currently being installed that will cover over 20 miles.
